Dannie Fundraiser

Hi this is Dannie. Some of you may know me from my freelance modeling and social media accounts. Today I'm here to help promote a product and hopefully help raise funds for a cause that is dear to my heart. 

Ever since my early teens, growing up in the Toronto region, I was fascinated by models and the fashions surrounding them. It wasn't until around 2007, that my love for modeling turned into legitimate opportunities. Looking back on the work that I've done, I'm extremely proud of not only the end results, but the integrity and hard work that I put in to get there. Over the years I've had the opportunity to appear on CD covers, calendars, magazines and newsprint media, along with acting as an ambassador for live events. I'm heavily into fitness and follow a strict daily regimen of workouts and aerobic conditioning and hope that sharing this through my social media accounts acts as a motivator and inspiration to others.

Now for the cause that I've chosen to support with this promotion. The Downie Wenjack Fund is a not for profit organization, that seeks to bring healing, from awareness of the mistreatment and hardships of First Nations children in residential schools across Canada. Gord Downie was the lead singer of The Tragically Hip, who unfortunately is no longer with us in body, yet still blesses us with not only his music, but a tremendous legacy as a proud Canadian with a conscience.

'The Gord Downie and Chanie Wenjack Fund is part of Gord Downie's legacy and embodies his commitment, and that of his family, to improving lives of First Peoples in Canada. In collaboration with the Wenjack family, the goal of the fund is to continue the conversation that began with Cheney win Jack's residential school story, and to aid our collective reconciliation journey through a combination of awareness, education, and action.'
